Troubleshooting: Menu Changes Not Visible to Customers
What to check if updated prices, new dishes, or category changes are not appearing on phones.
Steps
Confirm changes were saved
Verify in `/dashboard/menu` that you clicked "Save" or "Apply" on the dish editor modal.
Ensure the product or section shows with an active checkmark and is not currently toggled Out of Stock.
Check section availability schedule
Check if the section has an active time or day restriction.
Click the clock icon on the section tab. If a section is configured for "Lunch (12:00–16:00)" and the current time is 18:00, MesaFlow automatically hides that section from the active guest menu.
Check Dining Plan dish inclusions
If a table is running a Dining Plan, verify whether the dish was selected as an included item.
Tables operating under a buffet or fixed menu will only see plan prices on dishes explicitly checked in the dining plan setup.
Refresh the customer browser
On the test customer phone, swipe down to refresh the menu.
Browsers typically update immediately via live feeds, but a quick pull-to-refresh will pull the latest database snapshot immediately.
What you should see
Updated menu sections, dishes, and prices are visible to all diners.
Good to know
- Items marked Out of Stock remain visible on the menu but cannot be ordered.
