How to Replace a Damaged or Lost Table Card

Unlinking damaged hardware, registering a replacement card, and preserving existing table history.

Who can do thisManagers and Owners.

Steps

  1. Identify the affected table

Determine which table requires a new card (e.g., Table 7).

Replacing a card does not delete the table itself, its floor position, or its order history.

  2. Unlink or delete the old card

Go to Dashboard → Cards (`/dashboard/cards`) and find the old card assigned to that table.

Click the unlink icon or delete the card record so it can no longer be used to access the table.

  3. Register the replacement card

Click "Add Card", enter a label for the replacement card (e.g. "Table 7 - New"), and click "Add Card".

Select Table 7 from the table dropdown to pair the new card with the table.

  4. Place and test the new card

Place the new card on Table 7 and perform a test tap with your phone.

Confirm that Table 7's menu opens cleanly and shows the correct restaurant branding.

What you should see

The damaged card is deactivated and the table is restored to service with the replacement card.

Good to know

  • If you have a spare unassigned card on hand, you can assign it in less than 30 seconds without interrupting floor service.
